Epicmusic association is based in Venice and Trieste (northern Italy). Our main purpose is to give new and fresh opportunities to young musicians. Our activities started in 1995 with a project of contemporary music called "Chamber Works for Violin & Piano", during one-week recording sessions at RTV Ljubljana. That first CD cover then became our logo... Our passion grew up and in 1997-99 we organized three concert-seasons in Trieste called "Settembre Cameristico" with more than ten chamber concerts per year, which received great acclaim of critic and public. In 2000 we jumped into the new millennium with an orchestral project to re-discover 20th-century Italian composers, which culminated in a production then chosen and released worldwide by NAXOS in 2006. During 2005, an orchestral project with the Epicmusic "Orchestra Sinfonica Adriatica", focused on 21st-century music for flute and orchestra, produced a CD with concertos by Jean Françaix, Paolo Pessina, Daniele Zanettovich plus the winning work of the first International Epicmusic Composition Prize. Also this CD is internationally distributed. And now, we are very proud to start a new cross-border project with the summer Adriatic Masterclass in Croatia. Join us and enjoy with us! E.P.
