FINAL RESULTS

The Jury of the 2nd International EPICMUSIC Composition Prize, composed by Paolo Pessina (composer/conductor, Italy), Enzo Caroli (flutist, Italy), Igor Vicentic (pianist/professor, Slovenia), Mirko Polic (violinist/producer, Slovenia), Emilio Pessina (EPICMUSIC president and CEO, Italy) and Giuseppe Rodolfi (vice-president of EPICMUSIC, Italy), made a first selection (among 80 scores received from all over the world) at the end of June 2006, choose 14 composition matching with the rules of the competition.

At the end of September 2006, after having re-examined the scores, the Judging panel decided to ''not assign any First Prize''.

The final decision was to assign two 'Special Mentions' «for the personal language in balance between tradition and innovation» to Paul Vincent REALE (USA) with Sacred Geometry 2 [violin and viola] and to Brian CALLAGHAN (USA) with Nocturne [flute and harp] Those composers will receive a certificate by ordinary mail.
